L293D Dual H Bridge Motor Driver IC DIP 16 Package
The L293D is a popular dual H-bridge motor driver IC designed to control two DC motors or one bipolar stepper motor with independent direction and speed control. It allows low-power logic circuits such as microcontrollers to drive higher-current inductive loads safely and efficiently.
The IC integrates four high-current half-H drivers and includes internal flyback (clamp) diodes, which protect the device from voltage spikes generated by inductive loads. Packaged in a DIP-16 through-hole package, the L293D is easy to use for prototyping, educational projects, and embedded motor control applications.
