MQ6 LPG Propane Gas Sensor Module

The MQ?6 Gas Sensor Module is a low?cost semiconductor gas sensor designed for detecting LPG (liquefied petroleum gas), propane, butane, and other combustible gases in the air. It uses a sensitive tin dioxide (SnO?) sensing element whose electrical resistance decreases in the presence of target gases. The module includes an onboard heater to maintain optimal operating temperature and provides analog output (and often a digital comparator output) for easy interfacing with microcontrollers such as Arduino, ESP32, or Raspberry Pi (with ADC). The MQ?6 module is widely used in safety systems, gas leak detection devices, and embedded projects where basic combustible gas monitoring is needed.
