MQ7 Carbon Monoxide Gas Sensor Module
The MQ?7 Carbon Monoxide Gas Sensor Module is a low?cost semiconductor gas sensor designed to detect carbon monoxide (CO) in the air. It uses a sensitive tin dioxide (SnO?) sensing element whose resistance changes in the presence of carbon monoxide gas. The module includes a heater to bring the sensing material to its optimal operating temperature and typically features analog output (and sometimes a digital output comparator) for easy interfacing with microcontrollers such as Arduino, ESP32, or Raspberry Pi (with an ADC). The MQ?7 is commonly used for basic CO detection in safety and monitoring systems.
