The TEC1-12710 Thermoelectric Cooler (Peltier Module) is a compact solid-state cooling device that works based on the thermoelectric (Peltier) effect. When DC power is applied, one side of the module becomes cold and the opposite side becomes hot, enabling it to be used for both cooling and heating applications simply by reversing the polarity.

This module is rated for 12V operation with up to 10A current, providing strong cooling capacity in a thin, lightweight, and maintenance-free package. Since it has no moving parts, it operates silently, produces no vibration, and offers long service life. For proper and safe operation, the hot side must always be fitted with a heatsink and fan or water cooling system to remove heat efficiently.
