The module converts TTL serial communication (UART) signals into RS485 differential signals, enabling robust data transmission up to 1.2 km at lower baud rates. It supports half-duplex communication, meaning data can flow in both directions, but only one direction at a time.

The onboard MAX485 IC operates on 5V and consumes very little power, making it ideal for battery-powered or embedded applications. The module includes control pins to manage data transmission and reception, allowing seamless communication with microcontrollers.
