74HC157 Quad 2 Input Multiplexer IC (74157) DIP 16 Package
The 74HC157 (also known as 74157) is a high-speed Quad 2-to-1 data selector/multiplexer IC belonging to the 74HC high-speed CMOS logic family. It consists of four independent 2-input multiplexers, each capable of selecting one of two digital inputs (A or B) under the control of a common select input (S).
This IC provides non-inverting outputs and features a common enable input (E), which when HIGH, forces all outputs LOW regardless of the data inputs. With TTL and CMOS compatible logic levels, the 74HC157 offers fast switching, low power consumption, and high noise immunity, making it ideal for data routing, logic switching, and microprocessor/microcontroller interface systems.
