74HC573 Octal D Type Transparent Latch IC (74573) DIP 20 Package

The 74HC573 is a high-speed CMOS Octal D-type Transparent Latch with 3-state outputs.
It contains eight latches that store 8-bit data and output it either directly or through a 3-state (tri-state) buffer controlled by an output enable input.

When the Latch Enable (LE) input is HIGH, the latch is transparent—the outputs follow the data inputs. When LE goes LOW, the last data present at the inputs is stored (latched). The Output Enable (OE) pin controls whether the outputs are active or in the high-impedance (Hi-Z) state, making it ideal for bus interfacing, data storage, and temporary data holding applications.
