The BY299 is a fast / ultrafast high-voltage power diode designed for rapid switching and high-efficiency rectification in power electronics. With a reverse voltage rating typically around 1500V and a forward current rating of about 1A, it is well suited for high-voltage, high-frequency applications such as SMPS, flyback converters, and snubber circuits.
Its very fast reverse recovery characteristics help reduce switching losses, making it ideal for modern compact and efficient power supply designs. The diode is commonly housed in a DO-41 axial package, offering durability and easy PCB integration.
