The BY399 is a fast / ultrafast high-voltage power diode designed for use in high-speed rectification and switching applications. With a high reverse voltage rating (typically around 800–1000V) and a forward current capability of around 3A, this diode is well suited for power supplies, high-frequency converters, snubber networks, and freewheeling applications.
Its ultrafast reverse recovery time greatly reduces switching losses and improves overall system efficiency, making it ideal for modern power electronics. The diode is typically packaged in a DO-201AD axial lead housing for robust through-hole mounting.
