DS3695 Multipoint RS485/RS422 Transceivers IC SMD Package

The DS3695 transceiver combines a differential driver and a differential receiver that share a common bus line, making it ideal for multipoint (party-line) data bus applications.

The driver provides high differential output voltages (≥ 2V) and tri-state capability, allowing multiple transceivers to share the same communication line without interference. The receiver features high input sensitivity (±200 mV typical) and wide common-mode range (±7V), ensuring reliable data recovery even in the presence of electrical noise or ground potential differences.

Its fail-safe circuitry ensures that the receiver output defaults to a known logic state (logic high) when the bus is open or idle, preventing false data detection. The IC is fully compatible with TTL and CMOS logic levels for easy interfacing with microcontrollers, UARTs, and digital logic circuits.
