A magnetic water float switch is a type of water level sensor that uses a buoyant float containing a magnet and an internal reed switch to detect the presence or absence of liquid at a specific level. As the water level rises or falls, the float moves along the stem, and the magnet inside the float actuates the reed switch, opening or closing the electrical contact. Because the sensing part is sealed and the electrical contacts are isolated from the liquid, this type of float switch offers reliable operation with minimal wear and is commonly used in automatic pump control, water level monitoring, and overflow protection systems.
