MQ5 LPG Natural Gas Sensor
The MQ-5 Gas Sensor is a semiconductor gas sensor designed to detect LPG (liquefied petroleum gas), natural gas (methane), and other combustible gases in the air. It uses a tin dioxide (SnO?) sensing material whose electrical resistance changes in the presence of these gases. The sensor requires a heater to reach its optimal operating temperature and provides an analog output that varies with gas concentration. It is widely used in basic gas detection systems, safety monitors, and embedded electronics projects.
