MQ6 LPG Propane Gas Sensor
The MQ-6 Gas Sensor is a semiconductor gas sensor designed to detect LPG (liquefied petroleum gas), propane, butane, and other combustible gases in the surrounding air. It uses a tin dioxide (SnO?) sensing element whose electrical resistance changes when exposed to these gases. The sensor requires a heater to reach its optimal operating temperature and provides an analog resistance/voltage output that varies with gas concentration. It’s widely used in basic gas detection systems, safety monitors, and embedded electronic projects.
