The VIPer12A is a highly integrated off-line primary switcher IC from STMicroelectronics, designed to provide a cost-effective, energy-efficient, and compact solution for low-power SMPS (Switch Mode Power Supply) applications. It combines a PWM controller and a high-voltage (up to 730V) Power MOSFET within a single monolithic chip, significantly reducing component count and simplifying circuit design.

The IC is optimized for flyback, buck, or buck-boost topologies and operates directly from the AC mains, making it ideal for universal input (85–265 VAC) designs.
