Water Float Switch (Water Level Sensor)
A water float switch is an electromechanical level sensor used to detect and control the liquid level inside tanks, containers, or reservoirs. It operates using a floating element that rises or falls with the water level. This movement mechanically or magnetically actuates an internal switch, turning a circuit ON or OFF. Float switches are simple, reliable, and require no complex electronics, making them ideal for automatic pump control, alarms, and water management systems. They are available in vertical, horizontal, and cable (tethered) types and are commonly supplied in compact, waterproof SMD or industrial housings for easy installation.
