74HC541 Octal 3 State Buffer/Line Driver IC (74541) DIP 20 Package
The 74HC541 is a high-speed CMOS octal (8-bit) non-inverting buffer/line driver with 3-state outputs. It is designed for bus-oriented applications where multiple devices share the same data lines.
Unlike the 74HC540 (which inverts the inputs), the 74HC541 provides non-inverting outputs, meaning the output logic level is the same as the input.
The IC has two active-LOW output enable pins (OE1 and OE2) that allow all eight outputs to be simultaneously enabled or placed in a high-impedance (Hi-Z) state. This feature allows the outputs to be disconnected from the bus when not in use, preventing signal conflicts.
