DS3231 I2C Real Time Clock RTC IC SMD SOP 16 Package
The DS3231 is a high-precision, temperature-compensated real-time clock (RTC) IC designed for applications that require extremely accurate timekeeping. It integrates a TCXO (temperature-compensated crystal oscillator) and crystal inside the chip, eliminating the need for an external crystal and providing excellent long-term accuracy and stability.
The DS3231 communicates via the I²C interface and provides seconds, minutes, hours, day, date, month, and year information, with automatic leap-year compensation valid up to year 2100. It also includes two programmable alarms, a programmable square-wave output, and a temperature sensor.
The SOP-16 surface-mount package makes it suitable for compact, modern embedded designs.
