74HC4060 14 Stage Binary Ripple Counter IC (744060) DIP 16 Package
The 74HC4060 is a high-speed CMOS 14-stage binary ripple counter with an integrated oscillator.
It combines a crystal or RC oscillator circuit and a binary counter/divider in one IC. The internal oscillator can be configured using external resistors and capacitors, eliminating the need for a separate clock generator.
The counter divides the oscillator frequency into binary outputs (Q4–Q14), providing output frequencies that are fractions (1/16 to 1/16384) of the input. The RESET input clears all outputs to LOW and restarts the counting process.
This makes the 74HC4060 ideal for timing, clock generation, and frequency division applications.
