AD737 RMS to DC Converter IC
The AD737 is a high-precision, low-power True RMS-to-DC converter IC designed by Analog Devices. It accurately measures the true root-mean-square (RMS) value of AC or complex input signals and provides a DC output voltage proportional to that RMS value.
Unlike average-responding converters, the AD737 delivers true RMS results, regardless of the input waveform — whether it’s sinusoidal, square, triangular, or highly distorted. This makes it ideal for precision AC voltage and current measurement, signal monitoring, and instrumentation applications.
The AD737 integrates a complete RMS-to-DC conversion system with low drift, low noise, and excellent temperature stability, all in a compact 8-pin DIP or SOIC package.
