The MCP2551 is a high-speed Controller Area Network (CAN) transceiver IC that provides the physical layer interface between a CAN protocol controller and the CAN bus. It converts logic-level transmit and receive signals into the differential CANH and CANL bus signals required for reliable communication in noisy environments.
