The MOC8102 is a phototransistor-based optocoupler designed to provide electrical isolation between low-voltage control circuits and high-voltage or noisy systems.
It contains an infrared LED input and a phototransistor output, allowing digital or analog signals to pass across the isolation boundary without electrical contact.
The MOC8102 offers a higher Current Transfer Ratio (CTR) compared to MOC8101, making it more sensitive and capable of driving loads more effectively with lower LED input current.
It is widely used in signal isolation, microcontroller interfacing, and switching applications where protection from voltage spikes and noise is required.
