The 74LS154 is a 4-line to 16-line decoder/demultiplexer IC from the 74LS TTL logic family.
It takes a 4-bit binary input and activates one of sixteen output lines, depending on the binary code present at the inputs. All other outputs remain HIGH.

This IC features two active-LOW enable inputs, which must both be LOW to enable the device. When either enable input is HIGH, all outputs go HIGH.
The outputs are active LOW, making it suitable for driving LED displays, memory address decoding, and digital selection circuits.

The 74LS154 combines high speed, low power consumption, and TTL-compatible logic levels, and it comes in a 24-pin Dual In-line Package (DIP).

Functional Description

The 74LS154 decodes a 4-bit binary input (A0–A3) into one of sixteen active-LOW outputs (O0–O15).
Only the output corresponding to the binary value on A3–A0 goes LOW, all others remain HIGH.

• Both Enable inputs (G1 and G2) must be LOW for normal operation.
• If either Enable input is HIGH, all outputs are forced HIGH (disabled state).
