AD654 Voltage to Frequency Converter IC
The AD654 is a high-performance, voltage-to-frequency converter (V/F converter) from Analog Devices, designed to convert an analog input voltage into a frequency output that is linearly proportional to the input. It offers excellent linearity, low drift, and wide operating range, making it ideal for data conversion, telemetry, and frequency-based analog signal transmission.
The AD654 integrates all the necessary functional blocks — precision reference, comparator, current source, and oscillator — into a single monolithic chip. It requires very few external components and operates from single or dual power supplies, making it a compact and cost-effective solution for analog-to-digital conversion using frequency output.
