74HC374 3 State Output Octal D Type Flip-Flop IC (74374) DIP 20 Package
The 74HC374 (commonly referred to as 74374) is a high-speed CMOS Octal D-Type Flip-Flop featuring 3-state outputs. This IC contains eight edge-triggered D-type flip-flops with individual data (D) inputs and parallel 3-state outputs. The device is designed for bus-oriented systems, where multiple devices share a common data bus.
The 74HC374 captures the logic state at each D input on the rising edge of the clock (CP) signal and holds it until the next rising edge. The Output Enable (OE) control allows the outputs to be placed in a high-impedance (Hi-Z) state, providing flexibility for use as a bus driver, latch, or data register.
Operating over a wide voltage range (2V–6V) with low power consumption and TTL-compatible inputs, the 74HC374 is ideal for microprocessor and memory interface systems, data buffering, and storage registers.
