74LS06 Hex Inverter Buffer IC (7406) DIP 14 Package

The 74LS06 is a Hex Inverter Buffer IC from the 74LS (Low Power Schottky TTL) logic family.
It contains six independent inverter buffers, each providing a logical NOT (inversion) function — the output is the complement of the input.

Unlike a standard inverter (like 74LS04), each output in the 74LS06 features an open-collector configuration, allowing it to sink higher currents (up to 40 mA) and drive external loads, such as relays, lamps, LEDs, and other logic circuits at higher voltages (up to 30V).

This makes the 74LS06 ideal for interfacing TTL logic with high-voltage or high-current devices.
