The 74LS126 is a Quad 3-State Buffer IC from the 74LS (Low Power Schottky TTL) logic family.
It contains four independent non-inverting buffer gates, each with a 3-state output controlled by an individual enable input.

Each output can be in one of three states:

  • HIGH (logic 1)
  • LOW (logic 0)
  • High Impedance (Hi-Z)

The Output Enable (OE) input for each buffer is active HIGH, meaning the output is enabled when OE = HIGH and in Hi-Z (disconnected) when OE = LOW.

The 74LS126 is widely used in bus driver applications, signal buffering, and data line isolation where multiple devices share a common bus.

Functional Description
