The UC3843 (14-Pin SMD SOP-14) is a current-mode pulse-width modulation (PWM) controller IC designed for use in high-performance switch-mode power supplies (SMPS), DC-DC converters, and isolated power systems. Housed in a 14-pin SOP surface-mount package, this controller integrates a precision oscillator, high-gain error amplifier, current sense comparator, soft-start, undervoltage lockout, and a high-current output stage.

The extended pin count provides access to additional functions — such as dual error amplifier outputs, reference output, and more flexible compensation networks — enabling better control and optimization of complex power supply designs.
