74HC93 4 Bit Binary Ripple Counter IC (7493) DIP 14 Package
The 74HC93 is a high-speed CMOS 4-bit binary ripple counter. It consists of two internal counters — a divide-by-2 section and a divide-by-8 section — which can be connected together to form a divide-by-16 (4-bit) binary counter.
It counts input clock pulses and provides a binary output that increases by one count for each clock pulse. The IC includes two reset inputs (R0(1), R0(2)), which can be used to asynchronously reset the count to zero.
The 74HC version offers high speed and low power consumption, suitable for a wide range of digital counting, timing, and frequency division applications.
